2T: Thank you for the kind words. It was a hell of a lot of fun for us.
Art Amiss peeps: Damn. You guys have dedication to this town and it certainly does not go unrecognized. I believe I can speak for all of us by saying your work is VERY appreciated.
I ate Waffle House for the first time last night. I knew I had to be ‘ready’ for this opportunity when it it intercepted my path with an open mind and primed stomach. The guys I went with were pros to say the least. They recommended I stick with the 24 hour breakfast:
Tony: “Yeah just follow my lead man,”
Will: “O.K.”
Tony: …Yeah um, I’ll take the Super Star with wheat toast - do you guys have it in? Buttered, egg overeasy with chee, waffle, mixed grit, sausage, and OJ.
I was thankful Tony and Drew had been there for me. It takes an insider to know about the preemptive butter technique. I must say, it wasn’t as bad as I had previously anticipated. Really, the 24-hour breakfast is a novel idea (at least that is a delusion I am considering at this moment). And what better of a place for such a franchise to take off than in the bowels of the 6th Streets spanning throughout our great nation?
