In General

John Harmon — I’m jealous, astonished, and proud.

Holly — I really love Cuckoo too; there’s some nice versions floating around, but the Everlys’ is really my favorite. The playing on it is hottttt.

So, I have a group of poetry buddies here in NC, under the name “Lucifer Poetics Group” (it’s a Pound reference). There’s a great, generous, warm-spirited look at three recent Lucipo books by fellow Lucipoer Brian Howe (he writes for Pitchfork, and his review helped break Clap Your Hands and Say Redundant, but don’t hold it against him) — anyway, he takes a long dip into Chris Vitiello’s Irresponsibility, Ken Rumble’s Key Bridge, and my Complex Sleep. It’s over here, at Fanzine.

Lately

Since ATM has taken care of our summer dancing needs, I thought I’d put together a different kind of summer mix. This is maybe more of a listening alone in your room sort of mix, or maybe with another 2 or 3 people around. Oh, and feel free to punt the Roches, I already did (I thought I’d take a chance on a sunny pop song, but it gets grating pretty quickly).

Thanks Miranda!
