I remember watching Hee-Haw as a kid at my grandparents house, and having some vague notion that this was how the rest of the world thought people like my parents and grandparents must look and act. and to some degree, thinking that I too would someday become a part of this culture, my seven year old brain basically assuming that you were destined to become exactly like the things around you forever.
For some reason it makes me think of "Crystal" a Billy Bob Thorton movie, written and directed by Ray McKinnon.
