This is my Mom’s Recipe. It’s easy.

1/2 cup Butter
1 1/2 cup Sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup Flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup buttermilk (I just use milk!)
1 cup mashed, ripe banana
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Stir baking soda into buttermilk, set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, flour and salt, mix well. Add buttermilk mixture and beat. Mix in bananas and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured 9” x 5” x 3” loaf pan. Bake at 350ΒΊ for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until tester comes out clean.

This was really good but i put in an extra half a cup of bananas, a spoonfull of sour cream, a pinch of nutmeg. some cinnomon and vanilla extract and it was fantastic. Great base. i also used a bundt pan instead and the bake time was about the same. Thanks for a great base recipe!
