1 BAG of sauerkraut you have bought from ALDI (yeah i know, but its real deal german stuff and it rocks the silly shit out of any of this canned bullshit)
1 granny smith apple
1 large sweet onion
2-3 strips of bacon.
1/2lb of polish sausage.
sautee onion and apple together for 2-3 minutes with the bacon. strain all the liquid off of the sauerkraut (its called kraut juice) and add to the frying pan. KEEP IT MOVING AROUND OTHERWISE ITLL BURN AND TASTE LIKE ICK okay? cool.
allow this to cook until its all got a nice color like a farmers tan. add chopped sausage into the mix.
viola! serve with dark rye bread and a good german beer.
