This can be served for breakfast, but is really more of something that should be served with scones and jam during brunch or afternoon tea.
egg
water
pan
heat
Place egg in pan and add just enough water to cover egg.
Place pan on stove set on MEDIUM heat (not high!)
When water begins to simmer, set timer to 3 minutes.
Adjust heat so that the water continues to simmer, but does not reach a full boil (or egg will get rubbery layer on outside).
When the timer rings, remove egg from pan and place it in cool water for about a minute.
Serve it in one of those cute egg holder cups with a tiny spoon to scoop out delicious gooey inside.
