My favorite variations are peach and blackberry (especially when the blackberries are in season), but I imagine you could make this with any fruit that’s in season. I use canned peaches in the winter time. If you use fresh fruit, I recommend that you macerate it a bit first by adding some sugar and lemon juice and letting it make it’s own juices. yum.
Half stick of butter
1 cup of self-rising flour
1 cup of white sugar
2/3 cup milk
1-1 1/2 cups any fruit you want to use
Melt the butter in a casserole dish in an oven at 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar and milk and combine unitl it forms a thin batter. Pour into the casserole dish and pour fruit on top of batter. DON’T STIR. Bake for 45 mintues or until there is a golden brown crust on the cobbler.
You gotta eat this with milk or ice cream. It’s a must.

I was hoping you had this on here! I love you! My boss gave me some peaches from his tree & I immediately thought of this. Yum!
