alannah has 5 recipes in the cookbook - show me
I received the strangest email the other day. Someone googled my biological father’s name and found my blog and sent me an email asking if he could show me pictures of my father’s work that he’d collected (my bio father carved gemstones in this particular Japanese style called netsuke, as well as created whistles and flutes out of gemstones), offered to give me medical advice for my TMJ (he’s an ER doc apparently) as well as some other out-of-the-fucking-blue observations and offers.
My biological father died in 2006. My sister and I didn’t find out until probably 6-8 weeks after the fact. We were left nothing other than empty feelings (kind of a misnomer, huh?).
Why is all this happening now? I guess I needed a reason to be stopped in my tracks.
AND NOW I AM TELLING YOU FOR REASONS UNKNOWN.
no point in going where there’s nothing new to see, but hopefully not for long.
