wanna be starting something, got to be starting something…
This weekend was fabulous in every way. Our float trip down the Delaware was so fantastic. Bonzo jumped out of the canoe immedietly after we pushed off the first time, but he never did it again. The water was moving at a nice pace, so we had plenty of time to dilly dally and enjoy the sights. The campsite was nice and shaded and secluded; it rained when we got there which was nice, because I needed a nap. It only took Trevor and me 2 hours and about 37 glasses of wine to get the wet wood to ignite and turn into a hot bed of coals, then we threw down our hobo packs filled with sausages, veggies, garlic, tofu, and more sausage. There are few things more enjoyable than an awesome meal cooked in the woods…
Getting out of town for camping/adventuring is going to be my priority for the rest of this year. I need to get out of this city more, or we’ll be back in Arkansas faster than you can say Don’t Block the Box.
In other news: Bonzo has been a different dog since he finally got his stitches out. Slicing his foot open on a piece of glass and then having to wear a bandage and a giant cone around his head for a week and a half really seems to have humbled him.
Lately on our morning walks, he is the calm submissive briefcase that he’s supposed to be; it’s awesome.
tonight: Big Jangle and Birds of Avaloooooooooooooooooon!!!!!!!!!!!!
