The end of the semester. No more voice lessons where I get to teach f-ing Tomorrow from Annie.
Going back to school so I don’t turn into the bitter teacher who teaches cause they can’t do! Blah.
Broccoli, can’t get enough…seriously that shit is good.
Having homemade catfish and hushpuppies at midnight that were left for me by my boyfriends brother/roommate’s boyfriend!! (Go ahead, try to decipher that!)
Stealing moments with my lovely roomie before we part ways. (love you cara)
Girl trips to Lawrence!!!!! Yah Baby!!
Finally….the sun and heat! Yay! I’ve been freezing for months! Bring on the Vitamin D!
Did any of you get up at 3:45am this morning and watch the full eclipse of the moon? Oh my God…. it was so beautiful! Cara and I got up in our jammies, crawled up onto the roof and watched it and talked for an hour and a half. It was amazing. In case you didn’t know there were four planets creating a giant cross in the sky last as well, with the earth in the center. Saturn is behind the sun, uranus behind the moon, mars above us, and jupiter below us….you can’t see it but pretty damn cool. Anyways…I bought a new guitar on Sunday. Someone stole mine on my way back from IItaly. I love my new one. It is beautiful and not quite so huge. Can’t wait to play it at a EMBG gig. Love you all!
All I want to say is….life is soooooooo Beautiful!!!!! I am freakin’ happy to be home in Arkansas!! I hope to see all of you at the slow foods event at Ella’s on Friday!
I do know my number now! 011-39-339-149-7223. Just keep in mind that it is 7 hours later here when you call me. I miss all of you so freakin much!! Rachel…I have the longest letter written to you in my head and I just have to have the time to sit down and write it. Long story short…miss you and love you Babe! And I’ve been wanting to call you so please email me your phone number!!
I just got back from Rome. I’m exhausted. I want to write about cool things I’ve done, but my brain is swiss cheese. My brother’s wedding is in two days and sleeping doesn’t look like part of my future. There are so many people arriving and we’re entertaining constantly. (I’m not complaining, I’m just tired.) I’ve also made friends with a local band and I went to their practice with a friend from Boston. It is pretty freaking hilarious that I sang ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ with them. It was the most beautiful practice space I’ve ever seen….
I miss you EMBG’s. Hano, I got your text!! I love you you so much, come over here and give me a kiss!! Heather, I’m sorry I haven’t written yet, I will soon and I love you. Cara…you know yo my lady. We need to touch base soon. Rebecca…love you more than drinking wine with my dad at 3 am in Rome, seeing him accidentally break the chair he was sitting in and then laughing so hard that I was rolling on the ground….that means I love you a lot. Paul and Gina I miss you guys!! Paul, I’ve been getting all kinds of ideas for your next sleazy Italian guy costume!! Oh, and i’ll have soom great pick up lines for you too! Gina….god, I see so many cute clothes and stylish lovely ladies here that remind me of your beautiful self. I hope you’re doing well… Mel…write me!!! I miss you! Email me your number too so I can call sometime. How’s the plan for opening a business?
Damn…did I forget anyone? If I did…sorry, I’m tired! I’ll write more soon!

Missing all of you. I have a cell phone now, however I don’t know the number….of course. Tonight I am going to an art show at the Villa. It should be interesting. Tomorrow is the huge antique market that they hold here at the beginning of each month. I plan on looking for something to organize all of my jewelry in, because of course I brought too much. Good news though. It looks like I’ve been invited to be a part of a weekly art show/ open market of sorts, where I plan to sell some of this jewelry. (Which was my plan and my justification for bringing so much.) I’ve been playing my guitar every single day and singing opera as well. Yesterday, as I sang, I watched little girls outside my window knock apricots from a tree and eat them. They had a pretty dramatic soundtrack….I was singing Madama Butterfly. So, I’ve been meeting many people, including fire dancers, other singers, actors, students, old ladies from the neighborhood, and of course, incredibly obnoxious Italian men. Thank God I haven’t been seeing pants with Rhinestones spelling out ‘Rich’, but I have seen just as many rocker mullets as I remember from last year!

Life is Great! Just livin’ Yo!
Ciao!!!
In Italy…and since I am currently on overload, all I can say is eating cherries out of a tree next to a roman aquaduct sure beats freakin’ Jimmy John’s on a friday night.
By the way…Heather there is a tattoo shop half a block from my apartment. Maybe you should wait till you come visit and then we can get one together!!! I miss you all. I will write more when my brain clears from the hot tuscan sun, the cheese, the wine, and the view….which includes the beautiful German and Italian men.
Decadence. Damn…..
People…..I need a plane full of you here now. All this possible pleasure and I don’t have my EMBG’s! Dammit. It is not the same being on this planet without my peeps. I love traveling, but it is exhausting just trying to buy olives. Thank God it rained here yesterday. It has been so hot. I mean your jeans merging with your ass hot. So hot that there is no use in trying to look cute cause your face is melting. I hear it rained in Arkansas too! It is glorious sitting by the ’smoking’ balcony and watching a storm beat down on beautiful orange rooftops! Life is good. I am feeling very blessed. I
miss you all!!
Okay, I’ve been here for six days. My Italian is getting better, I’m meeting more people, and I’ve had quite a few people ask to join my street circus. Things are looking up and up and up. I went to Florence yesterday, because we had to take my brother to the dentist. He has to have a root canal!!! Anyway, I took off by myself and walked miles into the heart of Florence. I actually felt more at peace in Florence by myself than I have since I got here. I know that city. I lived there long enough last year to feel good about getting lost there. It was fantastic. It started raining really hard so I bought this baby blue rain parka at a “dollar” store, which just happened to match my baby blue dress. So then I had the delight of being complimented on my outfit by Italian men, who thought that my outfit was both cute and ridiculous. I found one of my favorite jewelry stores, (by remembering that I only had to go down the street that the replica of the statue of David’s ass pointed to in the Piazza Signora) and I bought the most beautiful bracelet for 12 Euros! She gave me a deal since I told her I had searched her out and that I have a bracelet from there that I wear all the time. (the black leather bracelet with the birds) Anyway…I love Florence. I love living in a smaller town, but that God for la Citta!
