JMB and AD — Thanky kindly, we’re real excited. After two major moves in five years, I’m ready to be where I’m going to be for a very long stretch.
It’s going to be interesting to be back in Fayetteville. It’s changed a lot, but it still feels like home. I’ve always known what the verb form of "pine" meant, but over the last few years, I’ve really learned what it feels like to pine after a place.
Addendum: In addition to looking for a nice rental house in Fayetteville, we will also be selling a super amazing house in Little Rock, a house that I will miss very much and which I really wish we could just magically transport up to, say, the historic district of the ‘Ville. It’s 3/2, 1868 SF (with an additional 100 SF sun porch on the second floor that’s not included in total SF, but which you could easily run air to), built in 1920, with amazing hardwood floors, a brand-new kitchen with all new appliances, separate upstairs/downstairs HVAC, awesome clawfoot tub in the upstairs bathroom, off-street parking, a two-story carriage house out back that would work for storage and/or a shop in its current state or could be a separate income-producing property with a fair amount of renovation, plus great neighbors and easy walking distance to the Oyster Bar, Pizza D, hippy clothing shop, Tae-Kwan Do studio and a place that sells $15,000 bicycyles (I believe they offer some cheaper ones also).
If all goes according to plan, it’ll be on the market next week.
